Harking from South Wales, and based in the South of England, Rich Mathias loves taking you on a journey from lush, progressive, emotive sounds to driving, boisterous techno, and everywhere in between.
Tracer has been Djing for a few years, starting off as a bedroom DJ back in 2012 spinning good old UKF back at uni parties and now into Brighton’s local Drum & Bass scene. Music connoisseurs and drum & bass heads often refer to his DJ sets as “pretty good” or “yeah, those foghorns hit my liver”. He also gets told to f*** off quite a lot… Tracer doesn’t like to pigeonhole himself into playing just one set of music, but if you had to give it a name, it would probably be something like “pots and pans in a washing machine doing a light spin cycle”. His first memories and inspiration to DJ were sparked at Vevo UK’s Summer Six on Brighton pier back in 2012 when he saw: Sub Focus, Benga & Chiddy Bang. I graced the decks at legendary West London clubs such as Club UK, Subterannia, and The Milk Bar. As I was also working for a record label – this eventually led to me hopping over the pond to the East Coast of the USA for 2 years. At this point I stepped away from the decks but continued my career in the music business for an independent record distributor. After returning to Blightly I moved from West London to Brighton in the early 2000’s & became a regular resident at the experimental techno night BEEP; & Sunday club – The Living Room; now DJing under BN1BOI.
