In the late 90s Slikmix was gifted a pair of Citronix turntables and transformed his parents garage into a studio. Starting out with a 6 pack of house vinyl and some random jungle tracks, Slikmix practised the art of beat matching over and over again. Leading into the early 2000’s Slikmix got his debut on the airwaves alongside DJ Merge, securing a regular slot on one of the biggest radio stations in Essex, Renegade 107.4 FM. It was from this long serving residency that Slikmix managed to fine tune his sound and performance. With regular trips to London record shops, Slikmix was able to network with the likes of: Nicky Blackmarket, DJ Cameo, Dizzie Rascal and many more! By the mid 2000’s Slikmix was well established as a duo alongside Merge with residencies across Essex, London and Kent. Slikmix went on to run a music project along side some of the Pioneers in the music scene such as DJ Swanne, […]
Multi genre DJ, but my preference is Trance (Classic, Uplifting, Melodic, Hard and Euphoric) i often start my shows with House (Soulful, Funky, Disco and Classic) and take you on a musical journey, which crosses over to Trance in second hour of my broadcast. I have also played out Techno, Progressive House, and Tech House. My codesouth.fm show is every Sunday 8-10pm, called Sessions That Leave Impressions……..the show that has more bounce than Tigerr on a nitrous oxide pogo stick! Started DJing in May 2021 and in my first year playing out I have been the headline artist for an All Tranced Out event in Swansea, as well making my debut for the brand CREAM, and i also got the international opportunities of two events in both San Francisco and Ibiza. As at June 2023 i have had 20 no1 mixes in the Global Hard Trance Chart, as well as 16 no2’s and 11 no3’s. In 2023 i joined forces […]
Tracer has been Djing for a few years, starting off as a bedroom DJ back in 2012 spinning good old UKF back at uni parties and now into Brighton’s local Drum & Bass scene. Music connoisseurs and drum & bass heads often refer to his DJ sets as “pretty good” or “yeah, those foghorns hit my liver”. He also gets told to f*** off quite a lot… Tracer doesn’t like to pigeonhole himself into playing just one set of music, but if you had to give it a name, it would probably be something like “pots and pans in a washing machine doing a light spin cycle”. His first memories and inspiration to DJ were sparked at Vevo UK’s Summer Six on Brighton pier back in 2012 when he saw: Sub Focus, Benga & Chiddy Bang. No splitting his time between Amsterdam and Brighton he can be found tearing up parties and then bunkering down in the Codesouth studio. […]
